She also taught computer classes for the continuing education program at a local community college. An administrator at the college recognized her natural ability to teach and later offered her a position as one of the teachers in the English as a Second Language Program. Despite the lack of sufficient training, Ms.Rochford found the classes to be challenging and very rewarding. Even though the computer classes paid significantly more than the ESL courses, she decided to pursue something she loved doing. She was accepted at Queens College (CUNY) and received a Master's of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other languages. Today Ms.Rochford is working toward her doctoral degree in education while she is an ESL instructor in a community college. As a result of her extensive experiences teaching writing, she has created this book to assist her students in developing and improving their writing skills.''
