This collection of papers features contributions by classroom practitioners, teacher trainers and researchers on the interrelated elements of second language curriculum development: goal setting, syllabus negotiation, teaching methodology, assessment, materials design and curriculum implementation. The common theme which unites the papers is that they are focused on the curriculum 'in action' and make use of data derived from observation and analysis of practice to illuminate processes of language teaching and learning.
